From Memphis, the Victory University Men's Baseball team had a huge day this afternoon in a home game. The Eagles won 24-5 against LeMoyne-Owen College.
Freshman T.J. Sloan went 6 innings giving up 3 earned runs. Kent Voorhies had 5 hits, 3 being doubles. Kent had 5 RBI’s. Mark Kelley had a 3-run homer along with 2 hits.
Victory had 21 hits on the day.
“What a great day for our team. It was a cold windy day....that did not matter. Our team was ready to play. I am very proud of their effort,” said Head Coach Jarnagin.
The Eagles are now 12-3 on the season. They return to play at home at Gagliano Field on Friday and Saturday against College of the Ozarks. |
